Notice Board

REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY falls on 8th November. There will be the usual ceremony at the War Memorial following the Parish Communion, starting at approximately 10.50am.

On Sunday November 15th , the Rev Elaine Joseph of Headingley Methodist Church will be presiding over the Parish Communion at St Chad's. I will be returning the favour at the Methodist Church. It is good to be able to undertake reciprocal arrangements within the terms of the Anglican-Methodist Covenant.

On November 22nd the clergy of the Headingley Cluster are swapping pulpits. The celebrant and preacher at the Parish Communion here will be the Rev David Calder from St Augustine's, and I shall be going there.

29th November. During the Advent Carol Service at 6.30pm, the Bishop of Ripon and Leeds will license Melodie Kimball as ‘Assistant Priest' at St Chad's. This simply has the effect of removing the sense of the subordinate surrounding the word ‘curate'. Melodie will continue to work as a Mental Health Chaplain rather than as a parish priest
