Special Services ALL SOULS At Evensong on November 1st we shall be observing All Souls' Tide. If you have names of departed loved ones whom you would like to be remembered at this service, please add them to the list at the back of church. REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY falls on 8th November. There will be the usual ceremony at the War Memorial following the Parish Communion, starting at approximately 10.50am. ADVENT SUNDAY falls on 29 th November. During the Advent Carol Service at 6.30pm, the Bishop of Ripon and Leeds will license Melodie Kimball as ‘Assistant Priest' at St Chad's. This simply has the effect of removing the sense of the subordinate surrounding the word ‘curate'. Melodie will continue to work as a Mental Health Chaplain rather than as a parish priest. |
