SCY Club

TREASURE HUNT & ROUNDERS
Sunday 6 July 2008, 7.30 pm-9 pm in the Parish Centre
Team Treasure Hunt exploring the church grounds followed by a game of rounders. Bring along some sunny weather!

CHURCH PICNIC (combined with St Michael's and Wrangthorn)
Sunday 20 July 2008, 3.30 pm at St Chad 's. Fun and games for all the family.

The re-formed SCY Club was launched on Sunday 23rd September at 7.30 pm in the Parish Centre. If you are aged 10 or over and would like to join, or are an adult able to offer support , then please contact Steve Palmer (tel. 2553146, email: steve@assp.co.uk) and come along.

Here is a brief report of what we have been up to in our first few months:

• In March we had a Sunday Night at the Movies

•  At our first meeting we repaired the bird boxes from the churchyard, and made our own to take home, under the expert supervision of Suzanne and Donald Dalton.

•  In November we got arty and you may have noticed our ‘Images of Christmas' on display in the Parish Centre thanks to Peter Kesteven. Hilary Larkin also showed us how to do calligraphy and the results were quite amazing.

•  We have also enjoyed a fun games evening, a video night, made our own biscuits, and had a Christmas party.

•  We created our own prayer dice which we roll at the end of each meeting, to end with a prayer we have written. We will also be contributing as a group to the Crib Service on Christmas Eve.

We welcome all young people aged 10 and above so if you know anyone who may be interested then please invite them along.

Toddler Group

The Group meets each Tuesday afternoon during term-time in the Large Hall of the Parish Centre and caters for babies to nursery age children, i.e up to about 4 years old.
