We're
getting on well with the new recordings.
These
passed two days we have done most of the bass parts, just a couple
left to do; we're scheduled to finish them off next week - sounding
good thus far!
Take
another look at the album poll on the left, we have added an option
for vinyl. It's a
format option we are looking at, but as an extremely limited edition
option of around 300 copies. Stairway albums have NEVER before been
released on vinyl; possible likely cost around £17.00 to
£20.00 a copy.

October 19th
We
have now completed all the drum tracks and Andy has gone for a long
lie down! ;0)
Now
getting on with the bass parts; done the first few tracks and
sounding good - We are really pleased with how the album is shaping
up, and hoping to finish the bass parts during the course of this
week. :0)

New
Recording!
After
a very uneasy and upsetting period over the past few months due to
illness, we are happy to tell you all that we have now returned to
recording the new Stairway album which we started at the beginning of
this year.
All
the rhythm guitars tracks and the harmony vocal tracks were done
earlier in the year; Andy has started the drums tracks and has
completed the first 4 songs.
1st
session
We
have scheduled some more sessions and hope to complete all the drum
tracks in the next week or so. This will leave us to
concentrate on Pete’s lead solos etc, which we hope to get on to
in the next few weeks.
We
shall post updates with photos here on the Official Stairway
Website, and also on our Myspace
and Facebook
pages, so be sure to check ‘em out!

As
we mentioned at the beginning of April, one of the guys wives was
taken very poorly and rushed into the Intensive Care Unit at Hospital -
Thankfully,
she is very well and is now recouperating at home. She is still a
little bit weak, which is understandable considering the trauma she
has gone through in the passed couple of months or so, but doing
extreemly well.

you for all the prayers and well wishes you have sent, they are very
much appreciated.

Latest
News
With
recent events we have found ourselves in in one way or another, we
have taken stock of where we are and where we want to be in the future.
All
the guys in the band have many family commitments, job commitments,
etc, and as such, Rob has decided he wants to dedicate more of his
time to his family and personal commitments and has decided to bow
out and not continue forward with the band.
This
doesn't mean the end for Stairway, and we feel very strongly that we
still want to get out there and play these songs that have kept
Stairway so strong in the hearts of our fans since our 1st album back
in 1993.
So
after a lot of discussion, we have decided we shall continue
together as a three piece; really, we have come full circle as we
started off as a three piece in the beginning.
We
love Rob very much and with Stairway not being a full time career
thing, we support him fully in what had to be a very difficult
decision to make - we hope you will too!
With
this, and everything that has gone on recently, work on the new
Stairway CD has been delayed; rest assured, we are quite advanced
with the recording: all the artwork has been done, and most of the
songs are ¾ complete. We will let you all know when we get back
to it, be sure to watch out for regular updates on the recording
progress on here and our Myspace

We
have some sad news.
One
of the guys wives was rushed into hospital this week and is
currently very poorly in ITU - Given these circumstances, and not
wanting to add to the pressure, we have put everything on hold for
the time being.
We
ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers at this time.

Recording
is coming on really well now, all the backing vocals are done as are
the guitars and a few other bits and pieces - hopefully we can keep
it going at the present rate.

New
Album
We
are moving on with the new album and hope to have all the recording
finished by the end of March. We are really happy with how things are
turning out and can’t wait to get it finished and out there.
The
artwork has been provided by the legendary artist Rodney Matthews
who also did the cover for our 1st album ‘No Rest : No
Mercy’ and also provided artwork for Magnum and Asia amongst others.
When
we know more on a release date, we will let you all know.
