Whats it all about?

Tomb Raider 1

This was first released in late 1996 on the Sega Saturn, Playstation and PC. It looks old now but at the time it was a revolutionary new game with amazing graphics and original gameplay. People who have played it will remember the T-Rex in the Lost Valley and the Sphinx in the Sanctuary of the Scion.

Tomb Raider 2

After Tomb Raider 1 had sold so well it was obvious there would be a sequel. In late 1997 Tomb Raider 2 was released. It featured an overhauled 3D engine and new moves such as the midair roll and the ability to climb ladders. It also gave Lara vehicles to ride and new set of outfits. Tomb Raider 2 also featured more scene changes including Venice, China and the surreal Floating Islands.

Tomb Raider 3

Tomb Raider 3 was released in 1998 and was actually 5 separate adventures. Lara visited Area 51, London, Antarctica, India and the South Pacific. New weapons, moves and vehicles combined with another graphical overhaul made Tomb Raider 3 a brilliant and very challenging game.

Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation

Egypt. Land of mythology, mystery, pharaohs... and the most complex tombs known to man. Tombs littered with mazes, puzzles and traps, designed to drive even the most persistent raiders to distraction or to their deaths. So great is the glory of discovery that the fanatical explorer will risk life itself in order to discover and plunder their hearts. The prospect of exploring a virgin tomb deep in the belly of the desert cannot be ignored by an adventurer so determined as Lara Croft, but with this discovery comes a price that could cost the earth.

The best Tomb Raider since the original, The Last Revelation sees Lara returning to her roots and getting back into some of Egypt's more dangerous tombs. Yet more moves, weapons and vehicles were added but the main improvement was the introduction of in-level cut-scenes which kept the storyline moving at a faster pace. The Last Revelation also introduced more puzzles, traps and a game of Senet against a resident God. Is this really Lara's last adventure?

Tomb Raider: Chronicles

Tomb Raider Chronicles opens with Lara's friends and family gathered in the pouring rain round a suitably extravagant statue of our intrepid archaeologist, mourning the apparent loss of one so young. They reminisce over the scrapes that Lara got into between the last four epic adventures. Chronicles is split into four mini-adventures linked only by Lara, and not by an epic quest for ancient artifacts.

Have they really killed her off ???? Isn't she supposed to be appearing on the Playstation 2 ???? For the answer to that question, you'll have to play the game.
And you really do have to play this game!

Tomb Raider: The Angel Of Darkness

A series of grisly murders brings Lara into conflict with a sinister Alchemist from the past, and a secret alliance of powerful individuals shrouded in mystery. At the center of these mysteries are the Obscura Paintings - five 14th century pieces of art that the Alchemist is desperate to repossess.

Accused of the murder of her one time mentor, Werner Von Croy, Lara becomes a fugitive on the run. Pursued by the police, she follows the Alchemist into a dark world of blood, betrayal and vengeance where it is up to her to defeat this unholy alliance, and stop them from unleashing their incredible powers on the world.
