I joined Sheffield Photographic Society nearly thirty years ago when I first came to live in the city. I remained a member for about ten years and learned a lot from other members and from entering various competitions. Marriage, a family and then a Computer Studies degree course meant less and less time for photography, other than family snapshots, and I stopped attending SPS. My interest in computers and the arrival of affordable digital cameras rekindled my interest and I rejoined SPS (It's a good job the rest of my family are all keen computer users).

Initially, these pages were developed to prove something to my kids but I now find them to be a convenient way of showing other people my pictures.

Camera - I currently use a Canon 400D with a mix of Canon and Sigma lenses. When I'm not lugging that lot around, I try to ensurethat I've got my Canon Sureshot with me.
Software - generally, it's one of the flavours of Photoshop but I enjoy experimenting with graphics programs such as GIMP and Project Dogwaffle.
Printer - All my prints are now made using an Epson Stylus Photo 1290S.
