Contacting Me

Temporary Notice

Due to a change in circumstances I cannot answer emails for the time being. I will let you know this if you email me.

This sign will come down when I become available

Please feel free to contact me. I am happy to try to answer as many questions as I can, although my knowledge and records are less comprehensive than the Public Record Office, Regimental Archivist et al. As a result I must, with regret,  request that you do not e-mail me with specific requests regarding individuals.

I have been in contact with The Regimental Archivist, Worcestershire & Sherwood Foresters Regiment. He has given me permission to provide his address details on request.

Also see Land Forces of Britain, the Empire and Commonwealth. This a very comprehensive site covering 'how to' and providing more useful links than you can shake a stick at.

Top Tip

I receive quite a quantity of mail from people trying to find out more about relatives who served with the regiment. These vary from "My Uncle Bert served in the Foresters" to mail with great detail in it. Please put in some research before trying to trace your relative. The Regimental Service number is a godsend. This can be found engraved around the edge of the majority of medals or in the pay book.
