Geraldine
Colvin: A Brief Biography
Versatile
vocal entertainer Geraldine Colvin is an established name on
the music scene in the UK having performed at many live music
and cabaret venues during the past 10 years.
Geraldine
is a classically trained vocalist, who studied voice,
keyboards, music, drama and stagecraft at a professional drama
school in London in the early 1990’s before going to work on
a number of musical and theatrical projects.
Geraldine
then "cut her teeth" performing in pub, club, hotel
and cabaret type venues, mainly in the North of England as
lead vocalist with a number of live bands.. "I’ve sung all
sorts of material during this time; from Country to Pop,
50’s Rock n’ Roll to 70’s disco hits and much
more." Geraldine recalls.
Geraldine
now specializes in the corporate, weddings, hotel, sports
clubs and private functions sector appearing as a solo artist.
She has developed her own
Dinner Jazz & Easy Listening cabaret style show that includes
classic covers from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Dinah
Washington & Ella Fitzgerald combined with more
contemporary material from Nora Jones, Dido & Katie
Melua. The show is ideal for
restaurants & corporate cabaret type functions.
Geraldine
also performs a full party style show with a range of material
from Rock n’ Roll through to current chart hits. This
provides an exciting evening of entertainment for many types
of events including weddings, cabaret and corporate
functions. Her repertoire now combines popular chart
numbers made famous by the likes of S Club 7, Atomic Kitten,
Geri Halliwell, Kylie, Tina Turner and Cher with well-known
sing-along classics from the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s,
including material from the likes of Patsy Cline, Diana Ross,
Frank Sinatra and Elvis!
A
full entertainment package is also available complete with DJ,
Disco, Karaoke and impressive full effects lighting.
