New door flanges can be made and fitted to the after making sure that the door has been hung correctly and that the hinges are positioned to allow it to open smoothly and squarely with the body frame. The flanges are made slightly oversized to allow for them to be trimmed to suit the door recess.
Once this has been done the outer skin is made using the wheeling machine. During this process the panel is passed back and forth between two small steel wheels. Each time the panel passes through it is stretched very slightly. This is done until the required shape has been achieved.

All scuttle panels are made from 21 swg steel, this has always been used at Morgans. The reason is that this particular gauge of steel gives optimum strength to weight ratio. At VSM we manufacture all panels by hand and with great care and attention to detail.
