A
huge thank-you is due to the Amersham Town Band who provided the music and
helped to make the show a sell-out success on all three nights. It also broke
some new ground for us with the use of back-projection, not to mention the
logistical issues of working with such a large on-stage band! You can find out more about the band on their Web site
http://www.amershamband.co.uk Our thanks are also due to Fujitsu-Siemens for their
loan of computers for the production.
This is definitely a 'bitter-sweet' comedy that makes some serious
points about the decline of very close mining communities. We would also like
to do the play of 'The Full Monty' which has similar themes of the effect of
industrial decline on communities, but we can't persuade the owners of the
rights to let us do it! |
