New Forest West constituency profile
The seat contains the more populous areas of the New Forest, in the towns of Lymington, Ringwood and
New Milton.
Most industry is centred in New Milton, though forestry, farming and market gardening take place in much of the seat.
Lymington serves as a ferry port for Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight, has good
yachting facilities, and is also a centre for those touring the forest. 81% of
dwellings are owner-occupied. Commuters are also attracted to the area which is
