For 16 years a professional Naval Officer, Steve Tatham has a multidisciplinary background anchored around International Relations, contemporary Middle East Politics and Corporate Communications.
A specialist in military corporate communications he was the public spokesman for Operations in Iraq in 2003. He had similar roles in Afghanistan, Sierra Leone and, in the UK, was the face and voice of the Navy's participation in the national fire dispute and the grounding of the warship HMS Nottingham. He has project managed large corporate communications ventures including 3 TV series and a pop concert and was the Navy's lead media interview techniques instructor.
Steve has also undertaken considerable work in the Middle East. A graduate of the Centre for International Studies at the University of Cambridge, he is the author of a polemic study of the battle for hearts and minds during the Iraq war. He has been the UK military's principle point of contact with the Al-Jazeera TV station and lectures regularly on the subject. Steve is a Senior Consultant with Middle East Consultancy International Ltd.
