Speaking on a panel that included diplomats and members of the House of Lords, Steve presented a paper on the Arab news agenda and the Western response to it.

The pan Arab media and the Iraq War. University of Cambridge Representing the UK Ministry of Defence, Steve argued the case for the embedding of war correspondents and defended the allegations that embedding was an 'in bed' relationship with the military. The 1st Al Jazeera World Forum. Doha, Qatar. Invited as a guest of the channel and representing the UK government Steve led on the relationship between the media and the military and later appeared on the Al-Jazeera live phone-in show 'The Opposite Direction' where is represented UK government policy in the Middle East.
Loosing the Battle for Arab Hearts and Minds University of Cambridge.
