Some words about my obsession...
Three years ago I went, guess where, to Grand
Cayman...for the past couple of years I had been thinking of trying
to scuba dive, but I had either been too lazy or too tired (drunk
on a Red Sea beach) to give it a go. Well one day in Cayman, I was
having lunch in Georgetown with my parents, and I saw a dive boat
going out on a dive...there was a kid, in wet suit, getting his
gear ready...
I
thought, if he can do that I have to do it myself!
So I did...I did my first PADI
OW training here in london at the Wimbledon Dive School, where I
had the best instructor I have come across so far.I think I owe
my good diving skills to Paulo!
My first dive in the open sea was in Zanzibar,
in march 97. The instrucotrs there were not very good, but I did
enjoy my first under water experiences...fish, corals, turtles...and
'octopus-like' dive instructors!
.Through diving I have made many many friends...In
italy I dive in the summer months either in Sardinia
or Sapri ...
in both places diving is special and very different from tropical
warm seas.

In
the Mediterranean sea you get a chance to see amazing colours, big
octopuses,
dolphins...

Sometime you recover an intact pre-roman vase...(check
it out here)
So,
if you are in Sardinia, you can dive with the Atlantica
which is also a nice spot to make friends and hang around... and
they also have a professional
hanging around!

Try a dive...or meet the staff!
And this is me...with my bright pink fins which
were such a joke amongst the Red Sail friend in Grand Caymans...
More to be written...
