The Stone's lives in a village called Heath and Reach. They have lived in this village for over 200 years with makes it easier to find the records. It can get a bit confusing over whose who though as they had certain names that they passed through the family.

The First Stone - John

The Stone that is furthest back in my tree is John Stone. He was born in 1805, he lists he occupation as a Carrier. In 1827 he married Sarah O'Dell. They had, as far as I can find, thirteen children. He died aged 87 years in 1892.

Of these children at least eight married and had descendants. One of which was Joseph who was my great, great, great grandfather.

Joseph Stone

Joseph worked as a railway lines man, between Leighton Buzzard and Watford. He married Ann Cherry, from Great Brickhill, Buckinghamshire. They lived in Heath and Reach at the Old Maltings. I have found nine children belonging to them.

George Stone

George Stone was Christened 12th April 1867 at St Leonard's. George worked as a laborer. He married Sarah Ann Newbury on the 11th July 1886 age 19. Sarah Ann was from Chalgrave, Bedfordshire. They had fifteen children. George died in 1941 and his wife in 1953.

George Edmund was my great grandfather.

George Edmund

George was born 1st August 1890 at the Maltings Heath and Reach. He married Emily Faulkner on the 29th July 1915. Emily was a Sunday School teacher at St Andrews. They had four children, one of which was my grandfather Alec Stone. Emily died in 1965 and George in 1973.
