Wales is rich in ancient stones, burial chambers, standing stones and stone circles; all can be found within its boundaries.

Ancient standing stone circa 2000 B.C.

If you enjoy the outdoors, the mystery of the unknown and the thrill of the search then you will enjoy exploring Wales' ancient monuments. They are all situated in the most beautiful locations and few require any strenuous exercise to reach.

Harold's Stones, Trellech

We have purposely omitted any maps but have included OS references. The genuinely interested will use their time to trace any places of interest and, anyway, part of the fun is discovering these sites for yourself.

Leave the ratrace for a few hours and catch a glimpse of life as lived by our ancestors

Having just bought a GPS unit we are now able to show much more accurate OS references
where available these are displayed in red.
References will be updated as we revisit sites during the year.

This symbol used on following pages indicates that there are pictures on these pages.

If you find standing stones too exciting then maybe you are more interested in electric bikes, cyclemotors, old bicycles and other such unlikely transport ?

February 28th, 2004, on second thoughts, don't bother.
What was a harmless hobby is now, as usual,  having all the fun taken out of it by pseudo-legislation.

In March we'll be adding our own cache page to our website. These are caches we have hidden, without hinderance, for free-spirited adventurers to find.
