  • Energizer

The heart of the fence is the Energizer. Gallagher make energizers for almost every source of power: mains, 9v and 12v batteries and even solar power. Gallagher energizers are in a league of there own due to their reliability, long life, power and excellent value for money.

  • Fencing wire that carries the current

 

You will find more than 15 types of Wire, Tape and Rope in the Gallagher product portfolio. The main types being:

  • H.T. Zinc-Alu Wire (By far the best conductivity for long fences)

  • Standard Wire (Ideally suited for long semi-portable fences for sheep and outdoor pigs)

  •  Equifence (The safest conductor in horse fencing)

  • Polywire / Turbobraid (For long portable fences)

  • Rope (is ideal for semi-portable fences for cattle and horses)

  • Tape (for portable and permanent horse fences and portable fences for young cattle)

Turbo versions of rope and tape are recommended for fences over 500 meters long, because of its higher conductivity.

 

  • Accessories

Each type of fence has its own selection of of high quality accessories that are tailored to the type of wire and the requirements of the fence.

 

For example a temporary sheep enclosure would require a light weight but flexible post like the one on the left, and with this type of post there is no need for insulators

 

 

For a semi-permanent fence, which you may want to use again, say for young cattle, then you would require a stronger, more permanent post and insulator like the one on the right in conjunction with H.T. Zinc-Alu Wire.

 

 

Good quality insulators like this W-insulator made from high-grade UV stabilized plastic for extra long life would be use on a permanent electric fence. The W-insulator is the world's first insulator to carry a 10 year guarantee.
