Town Hall & Assembly Rooms

The Town Hall, built in 1785 and designed by Bernard Hartley, served as Council Chamber, Magistrates Court, prison, bank, fire station and public hall.

The Assembly Rooms were added in 1882 by Perkin & Bulmer.
