GCCF Champion & TICA TGC Pollystar Arethusa

Our lovely silver Mau boy - Regional Breed Winner for 2008/9

Ari walked into our home at the beginning of June 2007- and straight into our hearts! He allowed the other cats to examine him without a sound, joined the "kitten gang", and it was as if he'd lived here all his life. He is a total pleasure to have around, into absolutely everything, will play for hours then curl up on a lap for a sleep, purring loudly. I have never seen him anything but happy - he simply takes anything and everything in his stride and finds a way to make it fun.
Not only is he a lovely looking boy, he also has that extra "something" - he doesn't just walk into a room, he makes an entrance! You can't help but watch him, and everyone who visits falls in love with him.

His sire is an import from the USA, Bacamamdit's Abydos, whose breeder concentrates on temperament - and it certainly shows. Abydos, even though he is a 3 year old proven stud, walked into Morag's house and also instantly became part of her family. He never sprays, and has been able to have the run of the house with the girls, not bothering them unless they are calling. We have fingers crossed Ari will be the same, as we hate having to shut a boy away.
His mum is Santillo Tameri, daughter of Newkingdom Brutus, a lovely smoke bred by Melissa Bateson, out of J's Iris Quetesh. As a boy for our girls he is ideal, being as far removed from them as it is possible for a Mau in this country to be.

Pictured here winning his third CC, you can see his clear spotting against his pale silver coat. He has a lovely "worried" expression, his eyes are gooseberry green, and he is free from tarnish. As he passes on his superb temperament we are extremely happy. Ari is available at limited stud to tested queens. We have Morag Lang, up in Scotland, to thank for entrusting us with this lovely boy, and are extremely grateful for her generosity.
