The book The General Carleton Shipwreck, 1785 is a comprehensive volume of the information gained about the the Whitby-built ship General Carleton, resulting from the underwater excavation of  its wreck (wreck W-32) by a team led by Dr Waldemar Ossowski of the Centralnie Muzeum Morskie (the Polish Maritime Museum in Gdansk).

The book is 475 pages. It is a dual language book with everything in both English and Polish.

The first part, illustrated in full colour, consists of a number of articles, namely:
