Children want to cuddle their pets, however this is not a good idea in the case of macaws. This cuddly soft toy provides a solution. Similar to the real thing but doesn't bite, make a mess, need feeding, or require constant attention. Also doesn't answer back! Now available, Scarlet Macaws and Blue and Gold Macaws. NEW! Technical description.

Soft toy:- Blue and gold or scarlet macaw, (Ara araruna / Ara macao)

Manufacture from fur fabric in the UK. Colours are subject to manufacturers available colour range. Eyes, black pupil with light yellow iris, retained by metal clips. There are no sharp objects, metal or otherwise, used in manufacture. Feet are made from snakeskin effect PVC coated fabric. Claws are not fitted in the interests of child safety.

Eye patches are made from polyester/cotton fabric and the stripes (where appropiate) are hand embroidered.

Fur fabric:- Man made nylon/acrylic.

Filling:- polyester fibre (all new material).

Flammability of fabric/filling. Conforms to British standard BS5852

Cleanliness/hygiene of fabric/filling. Conforms to British standard BS1425

Overall length:- Approximately 34" (86cm).

This product has the general appearance of a blue and gold / scarlet macaw, however it is impossible to make an exact reproduction of the real thing! If you examine one closely the fine detail is extremely complex!
