October 2005, Wittering: "I think you'll find it was Rowrah in 1991. We'd got wine cheap at Morrisons on the way to the track. Thirty-five litres of the stuff. Beautifully crisp red it was. Turned up on the Friday and old Cliff had set the track up a treat. That was the spirit back then. Pitched the tent, frost so thick you could sell it as strawberry sorbet in a Whitehaven restaurant. We still rode, on our old Honda Melody with the wooden swingarm and a Quattro can for a petrol tank. And it lasted the six hours. It bloody did, you know. And the alcoholic consumption was monumental. We had to find another Morrisons to get some more of the red wine. I was tempted to get some strawberry sorbet while I was there."
What more incentive do you need to overtake the one and only Dan?
