Model is mostly foam, covered in brown paper, and painted with car cellulose.
Power is from an old Webra 61, Radio - Multiplex, controlling Ailerons (on the arms - should they be ARMERONS?), Elevator & Throttle. The rudders, when fitted, were found to be useless, so a steerable nosewheel was fitted.
It proved to be very easy to fly, once I had found
out where the C.G. should be (a common fault when
building these models)
Sometimes we even dress the part to add even
more humour, seen
here at Elvington with commentator Ken Cothliff.

John Greenfield (Ghost Squadron) donned the suit at
Much Marcle(far right) Note the cap!
On a similar style to 'Blobby', I constructed this 'Flying Scotsman'. Did not fly as well as Blobby, probably due to the very blunt head at the front. It also needed 'a ton' of lead at the front to balance out the long legs.
