About THE branch |
|---|---|
|
Thanet, is one of 200 local CAMRA
branches, which covers the three main towns in the area plus outlying
villages. As well as supporting CAMRA's national and local campaigns, the branch
holds monthly meetings to discuss CAMRA business, always at a pub in the
branch area see the diary
for details. We also organise occasional social events like pub
walkabouts. |

About Real Ale |
|
|
In the early
1970s CAMRA coined the term real ale to make it easy for people to
differentiate between the bland processed beers being pushed by the big
brewers and the traditional beers whose very existence was under threat. |
