The Phoenix Garden is an allotment site in Goole which is used as a training base for our volunteers, and where we grow plants and produce organically. The Phoenix Garden was completely derelict when we took it on and it has been transformed by our team. The severe gales of January 2007 devastated the site, wrecking two new sheds and completely demolishing the greenhouse. We managed to raise funds to replace the sheds and greenhouse before the next growing season began.
Stop Press!
The Phoenix garden has been extended to a second plot which includes volunteers own plots, which they maintain themselves, choosing what types of produce they wish to grow.
2007 was very productive despite the bad weather during late spring and early summer. The new greenhouse has proven to be a great success! In 2008 we grew a greater variety of produce and again had a very successful year.

The new greenhouse completed and ready for use!
It was erected by The Green Team volunteers over a very hectic weekend in March 2007.
