TIEN NEWS!!
last updated February 2002
New Videos and multimedia CD
- Silly Buggers are here
- CD ROM and VHS. see rest of the site for details.
- A new long distance Tien experiment? Plans are
afoot to defy geography and utilise the latest remote networking technology
to re-unite the band for a new project. Whether it will actually happen is
another matter but you never know...
- Wasserleibe cometh?
Yep, fans have been asking in their thousands for details of this elusive
recording. Where is it?, they ask. What is it?, they plead. On and on. Asking
and pleading. The swines. Haven't they anything better to do???
older news....
- Tien Are Dead - The Delia Smith Conspiracy? Rumours abound
regarding cookery guru turned footie dilettante Delia Smith's alleged involvement in the
kidnapping of a certain Tien Shan band member, fuelling rumours that Tien have split for
good this time. Another, even more frightening rumour has it that the next album will not
contain any music at all, just a little yellow bird...
- Bootleg Video Disappeared. Whilst we're on the subject, the
bootleg Pearl Harbour Massacre video site seems to have vanished - perhaps running scared
of large legal battles, or they simply never existed - let us know if you have any info on
that...
- Maybe yes, maybe no... Someone sent us a picture a while back (anonomously of course). Opinion seems divided
as to whether this is they or not. Keep sending in the snaps...
- Millenium Madness! Following the earlier Tien to play
Millenium concert at Mecca, Greenland, Easter Island, Jerusalem or Buggers Knob"
rumours, we would like to add that the three do indeed plan to do something special for
the millenium (but then again doesn't everyone?)
- Kimbu and Leningrad T-Shirts spotted. Unofficial Live in
Leningrad and Kimbu T-Shirts have been spotted at a few gigs including Morphine, Primus
and Add N To X, as well as in Camden Market (London) by young Japanese punk rock types.
We've also heard rumours that the Shagging A Leper LP sleeve can be spotted in the new
George Michael music video (although we've not seen it). Where did they come from,
who is making them, and where can we get hold of some? Answers please...
- Englebert Humperdink Lives! One possible future project
involves a collaboration with reformed crooner Englebert, or maybe an LP of cover
versions.
If you have any more info to add then
please email us on kimbukimbu@netscape.net
