In the name of God amen. I George Trussell

of Castle Donington in the County of Leicester Yeoman being

of sound and perfect mind and memory Praise be therefore

given to Almighty God to do make this my last Will

& Testament this Twenty first day of September in

the Year of our Lord Christ one Thousand seven Hundred

and Thirty nine in manner and for me following

(that is to say) first I commit my soul into the hands

of Almighty God my creator hoping and believing through

the merits of Jesus Christ my only Saviour & Redeemer

to have full pardon and forgiveness of all my sins & to

Inherit Eternal life and to the disposal of my Worldly

Estate which it hath pleased God to give me I give

and dispose of as followeth First I will that all

my Just Debts & Legacies & funeral expences

shall be paid and discharged Then again I give

and devise unto my Daughter Elizabeth Alt the

sum of Five Pounds and to my Daughter Mary

Bakewell the sum of Five Pounds to be paid at

the customary time after my Decease Also my

mind and will is and I give to my — —

Grandchildren Mary Alt Elizabeth Alt and John Alt and

George the sum of Five Pounds each And also to my

other Grandchildren Mary Bakewell & Elizabeth Bakewell

the sum of Five Pounds each to be paid as they

shall come to the Age and Term of Twenty & one Years

and if it shall so happen that any of the said

Children shall Die before they shall come to the age of

Twenty and one Years Then it is my mind and Will

the said sum or sums of money shall be paid and

Equally the divided amongst the other Children which

remains alive Item my mind and Will is and I give

to my Grandson John Trussell one rood of land lying

and being in the Stonehill Field Abutting & shooting

down to the Spring Close gate. Thomas Bentley South

also one rood on Long Sands lands Edward Dallby

South also in the Parkfield one rood on middle

furlong. Thomas Gisbourne West thereof also in Trent

Field two half roods shooting over Darby Way Mrs

John Dallby North thereof also one half Yard Land

Lott Meadow to enter upon the said land and meadow

ground. My will is that the Term & Expiration of one

full year after my deceace Item my mind & Will

is and I give to my son Thomas Trussell all my

Lands & Inclosure lying & being in the three several

Fields of Castle Donington(that is to say) in the Stonehill

Field two Closes below the Barrowing Lays called by the

name of the Hill Coses and also the close called the

Symlay Close also two closes called by the name of

Sowerbub Closes Also In the Trent Field one Close called

by the name of Sutton Close and one close called by the

name of Halfadike Close And also the House & outhouses

stable & all the Homestead which I lately bought of

Thomas Bucknall And also all the Land which I do

Enjoy lying & being in three several Fields of Castle

Donington and also all the Meadow Ground Lott Meadows

and Pastures lying & being and in the meadows and

Commonable Pastures of Castle Donington And also all

my Personal Estate all my Goods Cattles Chattles what-

-somever I give & Bequeath to my son Thomas Trussell

& do make him full Executor of this my last Will and

Testament & hereby revoke all other Wills were before

made by me & do own this to be my last In Witness
