For a variety of reasons, a person may find that they have troublesome thoughts, finding themselves stuck with automatic negative thoughts, or have feelings of inadequacy, depression or anxiety. Perhaps you have experienced or know someone who has irrational fears and phobias. Others can find themselves unable to resist the intrusive thoughts and feelings that can follow a traumatic event or memory. Or perhaps you simply want to work and play better.

Psychotherapy and hypnotherapy can address all of these, without the harmful side-effects of medications. All actions are for the client's best interests, and are not intended to be instead of the advice or guidance of anyone's doctor, consultant or counsellor. Therapy can be used alone, or as an adjunct to conventional interventions and treatments, and as such can augment any work already being undertaken.

You can be assured of gaining a professional and reliable therapist by checking they are registered with a recognised body, for example the National Council of Psychotherapists or the General Hypnotherapy Register.

The Therapist…
… qualified as a first level psychiatric nurse in 1990, and, following a successful and lengthy career which included management, therapeutic community and military posts, undertook further training in psychotherapy to expand and include skills that assist and support clients outside of the hospital structure setting. This included general therapy skills training at Mindworks, Nottingham, and with Penny Parks herself for specialist abuse and trauma recovery work.

Full liability and indemnity insurance is always carried, and the therapist is registered with the Penny Parks Foundation, the National Council of Psychotherapists and the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council.

...regain the control, skills, and the confidence….
