Linux Manrake 7.2

There will be a full review of Linux Mandrake 7.2 soon

I decided to install Mandrake 7.2 using the lnx4win system to avoid repartitioning my hard disk. I also didn't want to install the boot manager. This way I could start Linux using loadlin at the DOS prompt. This worked fine previously with Linux Mandrake 7.0. Unfortunately, the linux.bat startup file was not created. It took me a couple of days to work out what to put in it to get Linux to start. I have therefore copied my linux.bat file below in case anyone else has had similar problems!

loadlin boot\vmlinu~1.17- initrd=boot\initrd~1.img root=0707 lnx4win mem=128M

The root=0707 is the important bit. This sets the root to the 'loopback' filesystem that lnx4win uses. Once I worked this out, it worked fine!
