Palm Fractals Version 0.34

Palm Fractals is the first (and so far, only) Palm application I have written. As its name suggests, it draws Fractals on a Palm. It works only on colour Palms (e.g. IIIc, m505). I am also working on a encrypted password storage database, though release in any usable form is not imminent!

Palm Fractals currently draws only 3 types of fractals:
Mandelbrot
Julia
Plasma

The parameters of all the fractals can be modified, and zooming can be achieved by changing parameters. It is now possible to zoom in on a fractal by drawing a box around an area of the screen to zoom in on.

These screenshots are from version 0.32 - small improvements in rendering quality may be noticed in later versions.

Download

Palm Fractals Version 0.34 can be downloaded here: palmfrac.prc. Just double-click on the file once you have saved it and Hotsync it to your Palm.

Although I have checked and tested the program thoroughly on PalmOS 4.0 and briefly on PalmOS 3.5, I cannot be held responsible for any damage and/or loss of data that it may cause. You download and use this program at your own risk! As the version number suggests, this is barely even beta software! However, I have experienced no problems at all. You could try it on the Palm OS Emulator (Pose) which is described on this site.

Known Issues

Plasma drawing cannot be interrupted - you have to wait for it to finish before you can even switch off your Palm.
You have to tap the screen to stop the Mandelbrot or Julia fractals drawing - the buttons do not work.
