Windows 2000 IrDA Virtual Comm Port Driver

This zip file contains a driver to provide a virtual serial port for the infrared port on notebooks running Windows 2000.

This driver does a few weird things to your Windows 2000 Configuration - Windows 2000 no longer supports a virtual COM port for the infrared port - So use this driver at your own risk, and read the supplied readme file carefully. There is a facility to uninstall the driver which seems to work fine. I had no major problems with it though. This driver was originally obtained from www.help4pc.de, but no longer exists on that site.

To install with a Nokia 7110:

1. Install the w2kirda driver.
2. Install the Nokia 7110 driver by using Control Panel/Modems, not the Nokia 7110 setup program.
