The Appreciation of Fantasy Role Play
Tom Freeman Ross Aitken Jack Wall Mike Merriman Rouben Freeman
We are a group of 5 players based in Edinburgh, Scotland with a mutual appreciation of fantasy role playing games. This figure is sometimes supplemented by ex pat gamers Robert Ahrens, Cameron Hall and Stephen Goodall. Nerds of the world unite and take over!
Dungeons Et Dragons
Over the years we have played many games with many genres, but in the last couple of years we have mainly concentrated on getting back to basics with the revised D&D. This vast Forgotten Realms campaign has been GMed by Cameron Hall, Ross Aitken, Jack Wall and myself. Although the d&d rules are still rather clunky, the personalised version of Faerun that we have developed is a joy to play in. We concentrate our games in the north, around Silverymoon and the Great Forest. Characters have died, become lost and reappeared, turned into Werewolves and fallen out, and all of these events have had repercussions along the way.

Star Wars
I also ran a Star Wars campaign recently, using the old West End d6 rules, which I much prefer and suit the fast paced Star Wars genre much better than the hack hack of d20. Set about 8-10 years before ‘a New Hope’ the characters had to escape the deteriorating Coruscant and find Mon Mothma to enable the start of the Rebel Alliance. Although fun I did rush the story through a little before Lucas ruins yet another story....
