Comments:

Built to replace the CSPs earlier ship of the same name, Caledonia served on a number of Clyde routes until war service. As a minesweeper, she was active in the English Channel and assisted with the Normandy landings. Caledonia resumed service in 1946 and took over the sailings from Ayr, later replacing Jeannie Deans at Craigendoran. She was withdrawn from service in 1969 and was converted for use as a floating restaurant on the Thames embankment where she was sadly destroyed by fire.
