Comments:

Commissioned for Cosens, Majestic came into service for the 1901 season. She was very comfortable for the day, having well furnished fore and aft saloons and was far in advance of any paddler so far seen on the South Coast. She was based at Bournemouth and ran day excursions to the Isle of Wight, Torquay, Dartmouth and Brighton. She held a full cross channel certificate and I have postcards showing her at Cherbourg; she also called at the Channel Islands. Taken over by the Admiralty at the outbreak of the Great War, she was sent to the Mediterranean on minesweeping duties, where she was sunk by enemy action, although fortunately without any loss of life.
