Princess Mary was a general purpose steamer built for excursion and tender work. Brought into service on 17 June 1911 she operated the packet service between Southampton, Cowes and Portsmouth. She had an open foredeck, a common feature on the company's steamers, with full width promenade deck. She was requistioned for war service and operated as a minesweeper in the Mediterranean, where she struck the wreck of HMS Majestic and was sunk on 2 August 1919.
