Comments:
Tynwald (III) was a well proportioned steamer with a good speed of 19.5 knots. She was an all year round steamer who was built to compete with the Ardrossan trade from Scotland. During her service for the company she worked on all of the scheduled services and continued these throughout the First World War. Normally sailing out of Liverpool in 1929 she sailed from Blackpool and then was laid up at Barrow for scrapping in 1933. She was, however sold for use as a yacht and renamed Western Isles. In April 1940 she was requisitioned for war use as an anti submarine training ship. She was returned to her owner in 1947 and finsihed service in 1951, when she was sold for breaking up at Genoa.
