Cost
The CCV is
free to anyone who is aged 16-18, unwaged,
or in receipt of the following benefits:
- Income support
- Housing Benefit
- Council Tax Benefit
- Jobseekers Allowance
- Asylum Seekers in receipt
of a government means-tested allowance
- Working Tax Credit (Certain
recipients only)
- Pension Credit (Certain
recipients only)
Incapacity Benefit/Invalid Care Allowance/Severe Disablement Allowance - only
eligible if also receiving council tax or housing benefit as well.
It is also free if
you are over 19 years old and do not already have a full level 2 qualification.
Otherwise the cost of the
course is negotiable up to a maximum of £250.00 depending on individual
circumstances.
If you are volunteering
and working (part-time or full-time), it might be worth finding out if
there is any way your organisation is able to help cover some of the cost of
the course through volunteer expenses or as part of an organisation's training
budget or fund.
If they are unable to help
and you still really want to do the course, then you could contact us via e-mail.
If you tell us about your individual circumstances we can discuss other ways
that you might be able to get help covering the cost of the course.
Enrolment
Procedure
How to enrol on the CCV
distance learning course:
- Print off a copy of the
Enrolment
form (Adobe Acrobat file). (Alternatively, you can call the college on
(0117) 312 5000 and request an enrolment form to be sent to you).
- Fill in section 1.'About
you'.
- In section 2.'Your
courses,' please fill in the Course Title, which is 'Working
in Community Groups' and the Course Code, which is: UALX1F6354.
We will fill in the rest of the course details when we receive your form.
- In section 3.'Fee
Payment ':
- If you
are paying for the course - please choose your method of payment and fill
in your payment details in this section. Cheques should be included with
the enrolment form and made payable to 'City of Bristol College'.
- If your employer/organisation
is paying for your course - tick the 'invoice' box as your payment
method and complete the relevant part of this section. You also need to
print off an Authority
to invoice form, (Adobe Acrobat file) which should be filled in and
sent with your enrolment form.
- If you are entitled
to a fee concession - please tick which benefit you are claiming.
You need to prove your eligibility for a fee concession by either:
- getting the Benefits
Office to stamp your enrolment form to say that you are currently in
receipt of benefits.
- sending us a photocopy
of:
- A letter from
the Benefit Office
- Your Benefit
Payment book
- A letter from
social services
- An Award letter
- TC602 (pages
1&2)
- Other documentation
proving your eligibility
- signing the declaration
that you are over 19 years old and do not already hold a level 2 qualification
or above
- In section 4.'Student
Declaration' sign and date the enrolment form.
- Now send your enrolment
form along with any other documentation to:
CCV Distance Learning,
Faculty of Community Studies, City of Bristol College, Helen Bloom Centre,
Hawkfield Road, Hartcliffe, Bristol, BS13 0RJ.
Remember to include either
payment, an 'Authority to invoice' form or proof of eligibility
for a fee concession with your enrolment form, or we will be unable to process
your enrolment.
When we receive your enrolment
form, it will be processed by the College and you will be assigned a personal
CCV tutor who will contact you via e-mail to tell you how to get started on
the CCV.
