As a club member you need
to be aware of cetain obligations and activities to do with the running of the Club. This note is intended
to provide you with that information. Additional information of what's going on within the Club is contained
in Club Newsletters, which are distributed to all members on a regular basis throughout the season.
Annual Subscription
Members are required to pay an
Annual Subscription, which is: Seniors £30.00, Juniors £15.00, U16s £5, Social £5 for season 2009. Please pay
either your Captain or the Treasurer, cheques should be made payable to 'Mattishall Cricket Club'.

Sports & Social Club Membership
Membership of the Cricket Club DOES NOT
automatically entitle you to the use of Sports & Social Club facilities. If you wish to socialise in their Bar after a
game (and we sincerely hope you do!!) you must join this seperately at a fee of £7 for adults and £3.50 for 16-17 year olds
and £2.50 for senior citizens, which is renewable on 1st March annually. Once you've joined you will be entitled to entrance at any time throughout
the year, and will also be allowed to sign in guests. Fees should be paid to either the Bar Person on duty or any member
of their committee.
Teas
Each member of the Cricket Club is
required to provide a minimum of one tea per season. The Captain of hteir team will ask members on a rotational
basis. Should you be unsure of the format or quantity required, please see your Captain. Members will be re-inbursed
to a maximum of £25 per tea.
Match Day Activities
Every club member is expected to
assist with match day activities both before and after matches. There are a number of activities that need to be
such as removing / putting up the ropes for the square, stumps, putting out tables in the hall, boundary markers,
and cleaning and tidying the changing rooms. If everyone does a little then these activities will not be onerous
- DO NOT WAIT TO BE ASKED!
Social Activities
The Management Committee work
very hard to organise a number of social activities for the benefit of club members. Members are expected
to attend and support these events. In the event of not being able to attend, a contribution to the cost of
the event would be much appreciated.
Sportsmanship
Members are expected to behave
to the highest standards of sportsmanship both on and off the field. The club prides itself on the way it plays
its cricket. Remember you are not only representing yourself but also Mattishall Cricket Club.
Sponsorship
The Cricket Club relies upon
sponsorship to survive. Sponsorship is extremely difficult to come by and where it is arranged, sponsors expect
a return from their donation. Consequently the wearing of sponsored shirts and caps is COMPULSORY when
representing Mattishall Cricket Club on the cricket field.
Ground Rota
We currently operate a rota
system for help with ground preparation duties on match day mornings. You may be asked to provide assistance
from time to time.
