Welcome to the new look website for Team Geriatric. As you can see elswhere on this page we had a very successful 2009, and, at the end of the year we were looking forward to 2010. The trusty 205 has been sold and I have managed to get into a Suzuki Swift for the new championship. Special thanks must go to Pat Doran and Peter Gwynne for their help and advice in securing a seat for this year. |

We arrived at Peter Gwynne Motorsport to collect the car on the Saturday of Easter
weekend, knowing that the car would not be ready till the afternoon, when we
arrived at ten in the morning you can see in the picture that there was a lot of
work to be done. Peter and his team had been working feverishly to get the car
ready but the deadline was always going to be tight, after all the request for
a car only went in eleven days earlier. Peter and Shaun Grimes must have been
frantic to get all the parts together. Anyway, Nick and Richard, the mechanics
building the car, had been at it for hours so when we turned up and offered to
help there appeared to be light at the end of the tunnel. From our point of view
it would be very beneficial for the mechanics of Team Geriatric to see how the
car went together, rather than be presented with a complete car with no idea
of where anything was. What a team we must have presented, there was myself, Chris and Tony from Team Geriatric, Peter Gwynne and Shaun Grimes, Bill Gwynne, Nick and Richard from Peter Gwynne Motorsport all beavering away. By six in the evening we could see a car appear before us, by 11:15 pm we had a car that we could use in the first round at Lydden Hill on the Sunday and Monday. A VERY BIG THANKYOU TO EVERYONE INVOLVED. |
