The Final Mission Aircraft

DS 682 was a Mark two Lancaster, which had started it's service with 115 Squadron. It had no known nickname or nose art, painted on the side of the aircraft was JI-N 6. The aircraft made nineteen known missions, they were:

By the time of it's last mission, the bomb doors had been modified. To accommodate the new larger bomb, of 8000 lbs. Thus, the doors would have been curved, with a distinct 'bulge'.
