Distant Memories He sits by the open window, drapes billowing gently in the night breeze. The feel of her arms around him, the scent of her, the comfort of her warmth against him, are a dull craving in his soul. "Mark?" Dark eyes, watching him through darker lashes, hair like black silk against the moonlit pillow. "I'm coming." He puts down the padd, and rises from the chair. Hands reach for him as he lifts the bed covers. As soft arms enfold his body, his heart spans four years and the vastness of space to the distant reaches of the Delta Quadrant.
