The "Wallasey Lions Club" was formed in 1975. During its existence the Club has undertaken countless numbers of fund raising events and projects. All profits from fund raising activities are used to finance community welfare projects. Spending to date by Wallasey Lions Club on its Community Welfare program ammounts to £300,000

This has financed the provision of wheel chairs and other mobility aids, hospital equipment, holidays for the disabled and needy, Christmas parties and parcels for the elderly, outings to the theatre, and transport for the blind and elderly.

Recent fund raising activities have included race nights, teddy bear tombola on New Brighton promenade and Santa's sleigh at Xmas. A new event this year was the "Battle of the Bands" held at Pacific Road. We are also involved, together with the Round Table and Rotary Clubs in the organisation of the Wirral Show.

Social events last year included 10 pin bowling, car treasure hunt, Radio City tour, quiz night, BBQ, Cheese and wine, theatre visit, and lots more....
