Jungle Run
   by Alexander Barrie

Thirteen-year-old Jonno Kane's holiday job at the Lonehead Flying Field often involves him in exciting adventures. When he arrives at the Flying Field for Easter, his friends Perry, Charlie and Roz arrange for him to accompany them to a far off jungle; another adventure has begun.

Walter Dyne, one of Perry's friends, needs help running his experimental farm. He already has a pilot, Joe Bergman, to fly the planes that spray crops and carry supplies from the nearest town, but he wants to ground him because he is unwell. Bergman, shocked by his experiences in a recent war, is plotting revenge against the side that committed the atrocities he witnessed. Unwittingly, Jonno finds himself involved, alone with the crazy Bergman at a stockpile of arms deep in the jungle, with enemies closing in from all sides.

In three previous stories, Jonathan Kane has faced hazardous situations; in Jungle Run he faces his most dangerous and enthralling adventure yet.

"Jonathan is amazing! The stories are amazing! They are an incredible mixture of a boy's dreamworld and an accurate to the last detail account of the technicalities of light aircraft and every aspect of flying."
