A former Education Welfare Officer, she is very interested in education and lifelong learning, and is a member of the executive of Warwickshire Federation of Wis and a member of the Area Community Education Council of this district, on which she is also the liaison between the ACEC and Studley Youth Club. |

Helen
McCarthy is married to Bill (a District Councillor) and has lived in
Studley for nearly 41 years. Their four children were all educated in
local schools and they have four grandchildren. She is a long-standing
member of the WI, a Churchwarden of Coughton & Sambourne Churches, has
been a governor of Aicester Grammar School and was, until last year, a
governor of Coughton C. E. School.
