About
Stembridge Mill

Stembridge Mill
is a 17th Century corn mill situated in the heart of the
unspoilt Gower countryside. It has been extensively
renovated and refurbished, and exquisitely furnished with
a blend of the new and the antique to provide luxury
accommodation. The Mill overlooks the restored millpond
and the stream, home to brown trout and a family of
otters. The grounds encompass 21 acres of the picturesque
Cheriton Valley and includes woodlands, pasture,
wildflower and water meadows. A deck overlooking the
millpond houses the whirlpool spa and there is also a
heated outdoor swimming pool and a croquet
lawn.
The Mill can
sleep up to twelve people. The accommodation consists of
four en-suite bedrooms; two doubles, each with a
mezzanine which can sleep two children, and two rooms
which can provide twin beds or a 'super king' double. As
well as bed and breakfast, we also provide all-inclusive
packages covering all meals, drinks (including alcohol),
maid service, childcare and all the mills facilities. A
self catering option is also available.
Our chef, Graham
Hurren, trained and worked with Raymond Blanc at the
world famous "Le Manoir Aux Quat' Saisons". This
experience, combined with Graham's passion and enthusiasm
for inspired regional cuisine, has led to the evolution
of his own unique style. You will be treated to
canapés, four courses, wine and digestifs,
including superb local produce such as sea-bass, sewin,
lobster, samphire, salt marsh lamb, and Penclawdd cockles
(Rated by Rick Stein as the best in the world!) We also
produce our own vegetables, meat and poultry from our
organically managed smallholding. Stembridge MIll is an
accrdited member of "A Taste of Wales".
Stembridge Mill
is not just about relaxing in luxurious tranquillity,
(although we can further help with this by providing a
children's play area, children's entertainment and
childcare). We can also provide stimulation for the mind
and body! We run a selection of day and residential
courses in various art disciplines, cookery, mushrooms,
garden design creative writing, music, woolcraft and
wildlife photography. Residential guests can have talks
or short courses specially designed for them. Original
work by our tutors and exhibitors is on display
throughout the Mill and we also hold exhibitions and
exclusive concerts. There are superb walks, horseriding,
mountain biking, surfing and windsurfing, as well as our
swimming pool and whirlpool spa. There are also several
golf courses on Gower. Luxury transport can be arranged
for airport and station transfers as well as off site
activities.
