The large colourful playground provides a fun and safe environment for break-time play and regularly timetabled PE lessons.

The annual sports day is a highlight of the school’s calendar.

History 

Westwood is a small, independent school which was founded in the early 1900’s by Miss Rees. Mrs. S. D. Abbott was proprietor until 1998 when ownership passed to Mrs. J. I. Hill who had been at the school since 1985 and held the post of Head Teacher for the previous four years. 

The bright, cheerful classrooms are well stocked with equipment, books and apparatus, including multimedia computers. 

The Library contains a substantial collection of books, videos, software and reference manuals.

 

A playground with large apparatus is available for use at morning and lunchtime breaks and for regularly timetabled PE lessons.
