Engineeringscotland was formerly known as the Federation of Engineering Societies in Glasgow and was established in 1931.

Charles Shields, formerly Chief Executive of the Industrial and Power Association, takes over as CEO of Scoteta on 1st November 2008.

Scottish Museum of Industry
Volunteers are required to to form a working party with the essential skills: financial, fundraising and management, and, urgently, someone who can draw up the plans for a planning application for the former Howden's site. The time quoted is the starting time for the visit, talk or social event. Frequently, refreshments are available in the half hour before the talks and lectures begin, and members and visitors may meet informally at this time.

Numbers may be restricted for visits and social events, and may even be restricted to members only, so please check with the organisation first.
