Over 75 years of engineering collaboration
Engineeringscotland was formerly known as the Federation of Engineering Societies in Glasgow and was established in 1931.

The Annual General Meeting of EngineeringScotland took place on Wednesday 20th May. The annual report is posted here.

 

Important notes
The events listed are organised by professional engineering and technical institutions in the South of Scotland area and are organised by the Institutions for their members.  Visitors are usually welcome at talks and lectures.  

The time quoted is the starting time for the visit, talk or social event.  Frequently, refreshments are available in the half hour before the talks and lectures begin, and members and visitors may meet informally at this time.

Numbers may be restricted for visits and social events, and may even be restricted to members only, so please check with the organisation first.

EngineeringScotland Prestige Lecture (details)

Jim McColl is Scotland's most successful entrepreneurial engineer. He CEO and majority shareholder of Clyde Blowers, a £1.2 billion company employing 5,000 engineers and others in 27 different companies.

More importantly, he is an entertaining, informative and amusing speaker. Engineering
Scotland is delighted that Jim has agreed to deliver this talk: Engineering Scotland, The Road Ahead 2009 on Monday 1st June 2009 at the University of Strathclyde.

The talk is free but pre-registration is required as places are limited.  Please email secretary@iesis.org to register your attendance.
