WILLENHALL PUBLICANS 1835
A listing of all Willenhall Publicans extracted from Pigot & Co's 1835 Commercial Directory of Staffordshire. 'R' in the Public House name column denotes a Retailer of Beer. The Beerhouse Act of 1830 allowed anyone to brew and sell beer to the public from their own home on payment of a small fee. Some of these beerhouses were later converted into public houses but many disappeared without trace.
