Wortley Hall is a unique facility! It has over 500 years of history, yet can offer the many
modern facilities demanded by a discerning clientele. There are 57 bedrooms, many with en-suite facilities, that can cater for single, double, twin and family requirements. Ground floor accommodation is also available if stairs present a problem. All rooms have colour TV. and tea making facilities. There are two dining rooms catering for either 100 or 44
people to dine in rooms of beauty and elegance. The dining rooms include
original wood panelling; magnificent fireplaces and the ceilings are arguably
the finest examples of Renaissance style friezes in Great Britain. There is also
a smaller more intimate restaurant open during bar opening hours. The bar itself
is spacious and has ‘pub prices’ rather than ‘Hotel prices’ at all
times. Adjacent to the bar area is a function room with a fully sprung floor and
a games room with snooker, pool and darts facilities. There are also a range of
lounges and television rooms incorporating an extensive library. The 26 acres of formal garden and woodland include a small lake, peaceful walks and an abundance of wildlife. These outdoor facilities are further enhanced by the provision of a putting green, a bowling green and a skittles green. This is therefore an ideal venue for corporate hospitality events and exhibitions in a marquee or within the Hall itself.
